Times have certainly changed. Ironically, the horizon equipment works better in California than it does in the Midwest. I rode the Anne Rutledge and the State House a few times in the dead of winter when they had to run them with superliners because the horizon cars didn't have enough insulation on the plumbing to function below about 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Even the Viewliners have plumbing problems in the winter. My wife and I took a Viewliner Deluxe bedroom from NYC to Chicago in January 2011, and our toilet stopped flushing around Cleveland.
